The belly band is a great idea for those times when nothing will fit correctly. I bought this at just 10 weeks pregnant, when there are those days that the regular clothes won't button, but maternity pants are way too big to consider.
It takes a little figuring out or it can look like a strange wad of material under your shirt, especially early on in the pregnancy. But once you master it, you can wear your clothes and breathe, too!
Tips - try folding it over in half early in the pregnancy. There is enough material there to cover a 6-9 month belly, so the extra material early on has to be minimized.

These will help you get more time in your pre-pregnancy clothes. You can unbutton your jeans without detection and extend your too short shirts for a layered look.

I was looking for something to give me a little more support. I should have gotten one or two sizes smaller than what they suggested. Once I took it in on the sides it worked much better.

I am really happy with the Belly Bands. They have really helped me out in my first trimester. I am 9 or 10 weeks along, small framed, and already beginning to show! Within the first 6-7 weeks my shorts and pants were alread too snug for me to button all the way. What I do is this: Turn it inside out and put it on. Then I tuck the bottom part in like it was a tee shirt, and then fold the top half over my waistband. Since my belly is not big yet, it just covers up my unbottoned pants.
Today I am wearing my low-rize jeans. When I sit down, the band doesn't do the total job of holding up the back of my pants, but I still think this is the best solution until I am ready for maternity pants.
I plan to buy more colors!
What a lifesaver August 17, 2008
This product is great. It allows me to still fit into my regular pants even though I can no longer button them up. It's comfortable and gets lots of use.
